A covered boathouse on Lake Muskoka, designed to maximize waterfront living above the slip. The program called for a compact but functional upper-level gathering space — somewhere the family could be on the water even when they weren’t on it. The structure is kept lean from the waterside, with board-and-batten cladding and a standing-seam roof that reads as a natural extension of the site. Screened openings and generous glazing bring cross-ventilation without sacrificing privacy from the lake. Designed by Corbin Patten Designs.
