Corbin shares his story — how growing up between a construction dad and an interior design mom led him to Muskoka, and to designing some of its most thoughtfully crafted cottages and boathouses.

A Hybrid Upbringing Built for Muskoka.
I started Corbin Patten Designs in 2014 after growing up watching two worlds collide — my dad in construction, my mom in interior design. Delivering furniture across Muskoka gave me an early look at what great design could feel like on the lakes. I wanted to do more than admire those projects. I wanted to build them.

Every project we take on starts in the same place — with light, with materials, and with one idea worth building around. We take time to understand the technical details of how a building comes together, and equal time understanding how our clients live. The goal is always the same: a relaxing, view-focused home on the water that feels like it could only exist right here.
